Everything I’ve done—raising a family in Rowlett, serving alongside neighbors in times of need, mentoring young people, and dedicating thousands of volunteer hours—has been driven by one belief: strong communities are built through service, integrity, and trust. I’m running for Rowlett City Council to bring proven leadership, steady judgment, and a servant’s heart to City Hall. I don’t view public office as a position of power, but as a responsibility to listen, to lead, and to serve the people of Rowlett—today and for generations to come.

Family and Community Roots

Family is at the center of everything I do. I have been married for 36 years and am the proud parent of four children. Like so many Rowlett families, we chose this community because it is a place where people look out for one another and take pride in where they live. My family and I have called Rowlett home for 30 years, and our roots here run deep. I understand firsthand the importance of safe neighborhoods, strong schools, responsible growth, and a city government that listens—because these decisions don’t just affect policy; they shape the future our children will inherit.

Discipline, respect, and perseverance are values that guide my life and my service to others. I have trained as a martial artist for more than 20 years, earning a 3rd‑degree black belt in Blakey’s Tae Kwon Do and winning multiple local, regional and state championships through the Texas Karate Organization and the Amateur Organization of Karate. Martial arts taught me far more than physical skills. It instilled focus, self‑control, accountability, and the importance of leading by example. Those principles carry over into my community service and leadership—remaining calm under pressure, making thoughtful decisions, and holding myself to the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.

A Record of Service and Leadership

My commitment to volunteerism is long‑standing and measurable. I regularly contribute hundreds of volunteer hours every year, serving where the need is greatest and stepping up when our community faces challenges.

  • Rowlett Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – Member for over 20 years, activated for dozens of deployments, including the 2015 Rowlett EF‑4 Tornado response and the missing‑person search for retired firefighter Michael Chambers.

  • Rowlett Explorer Post One – Head of the program for the past 15 years, mentoring teens ages 14–21 and preparing future leaders in public safety and community service.

  • Boy Scouts of America – Former Scoutmaster for Troop 646, Wood Badge trained, committed to character development, leadership, and service.
